~ Testimonials ~
Thank you very much for rewarding me this phenomenal scholarship! It was greatly appreciated and will assist me with necessities for college. As I transition into this new phase of my life, I am excited about attending University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB) and I am looking forward to new experiences and opportunities. Please keep me in your prayers throughout my journey, as support is instrumental to my success. – Nia Jordan
I’m so thankful and blessed to receive the John E. Obleton Memorial Scholarship. I will use this award to help with my housing for school. I’m honored and thankful for receiving the scholarship!!!! – Carmelo Lampley
As a previous recipient of the John E Obleton Scholarship, I was honored to value the blessing by purchasing books and other school supplies that were needed to help me be successful. As i received the scholarship in 2021, I always look back and thank The Obleton and The Mt. Moriah family as One! With the help from my church family, I have completed 3 years of college as A Proud Southern Union Graduate and currently attending Troy University majoring in Social Work. Once again Thanks kindly for the blessing and continue to pray for me along the way! – Kaitlyn Pink
Receiving the John Obleton scholarship gave me the financial freedom to upgrade my school laptop, and not having to worry about going to the library and saving work on a hard drive. I also purchased my books for classes during my Freshman year at Springhill. – Theo Hubbard
**We will begin accepting applications from May 4, 2025, through June 15, 2025. The scholarship will be presented on July 20, 2025 **
